It’s officially summer, actually, summer is coming to a close and many people have been working to slim down since New Year’s Day; I know I have!  But if you have decided that you want to get started now, the first thing I would do is look to your diet.  You should start to “eat clean” or participate in “clean eating.”  Eating clean is all about concentrating on nutritional foods by avoiding junk,  refined and processed foods.

Eating clean is all about concentrating on nutritional foods by avoiding junk and refined foods. Eating whole foods is an ultimately effective way of achieving a healthy body. It has become manifestly clear that structuring a diet to involve whole foods and an appropriate nutrition can help to enhance the immune system of the body. As such, you will be able to manage and avoid developing diseases.

Eating clean also helps to fight bad toxins in the body and of course, it aids weight reduction ¾ I mean, let’s face it, no one ever got slim from stuffing themselves with cookies, chocolate and ice cream.

Now before you decide to adopt this lifestyle change, you should probably be aware of the principles involved. For starters, eating clean entails eating whole, natural foods that have not been processed in any laboratories. Yes by this I mean foods that are straight off the farm. This could include unsalted nuts, whole vegetables and fruit, low fat dairy products as well as whole grains.

Another effective plan is to stay away from processed foods and by this I mean foods that contain several ingredients and yet are of low nutritional value.

You should also cut refined sugar out of your diet and replace with sweeteners that contain fewer calories.

Now here’s the good news; you can eat as much as five times a day, but in small quantities. Snacks are not completely bad but if you must eat them, the meal has to be balanced; plus you can totally use healthy snacks.

I can hardly state all the benefits of eating clean but it basically ensures everything from a healthy weight to reducing the risk of fatal diseases, to adequate nutrition. The best micro nutrients can always be found in whole foods which are known to make the body satisfied for longer. Indeed, this is the best way to remain healthier, stronger and more active in life.

    I've been eating paleo for a while now, it's incredible. Really makes a huge difference in how I feel. Really amazing how much it affects my energy levels day to day.

    Thanks Karin! I have enjoyed many different paths through the years! Now, I am working on balance due to the many factors of life from children, traveling, geographic locations, change, beliefs, and more! Yet, for the majority of the time I am eating healthy! Moderation is my plan these days!

    I have read about the Paleo diet but have not successfully implemented all aspects of it. I do try to eat clean whenever as often as possible. The no sugar is a must for me. Thanks for the inspirational words.
